In 1991 and 1992, Mortification was creating ground-breaking
music. Following a suddenly acquired interest in
British grindcore and death metal, my original goal,
to create an extreme version of my 80s band, Lightforce,
became a reality. We were creating what was at the
time, the most extreme Christian metal ever recorded,
with Scrolls of the Megilloth as the band’s
definitive album. This DVD contains 8 professionally
produced film clips of songs featured on Scrolls
of the Megilloth and the self-titled Mortification
album. Ideas musically and visually ahead of their
time are brought to life by film maker Neil Johnson.
The disc also contains a segment on the recording
of Scrolls of the Megilloth, some crazy on-tour footage
and a bonus full live show of the band at The Arthouse
in Melbourne, Australia, in 1992." -Steve
